23-25 June 2015
The Three Ladies in London in Context conference brings together scholars, students, and public audiences to explore Performance as Research in early English theatre studies.
Full-scale, performance-as-research productions of Robert Wilson's The Three Ladies in London and Shakespeare’s Henry the Sixth, Part 1 will be the focus of our discussion.
Keynote speakers will address the relevance of the UK-based Performance as Research movement to North American research and teaching practices.
Workshop sessions will experiment with applications of Performance as Research techniques to research and teaching.
Conference materials, including research essays on the historical contexts for the plays, rehearsal and performance records, performance reviews, and further resources for research and teaching, will be available through our website before, during, and after the conference.
